Life for Jerminu

We have been learning about life for Jerminu and his family in Timor-Leste. The helpers of Caritas help families like this.

in which Germinu’s life is different to yours.

Jerminu does not have any toys or electronics to play with
His life is different because he has more people in his class
His house is made of sticks. His water doesn't come from a tap.
He has no school uniform.It is hard to find food at home. At school he eats banana chips and healthy donuts.There are 36 students in his classroom.He has a bit of a hard life at home.There is no electricity at his school.His mum doesn't have much money so his mum cuts the coconuts and sells them to get some money.There is not much grass at his school.He has got a big family. After school he plays with his friends because they live close together.His house is made of sticks and straws and looks very different to our house.His house toilet is outside in the garden and it is a little hole that they are going toilet in.

Germinu's toilet is outside. He has less food than us. He has 36 children in his classroom. He has ten people in his family.

I enjoyed going to Auckland and when I went on the plane.But when I was about to land on the Air NZ plane my ears hurt.I loved going to the zoo because watching the tiger was cool.
