I have been a Teacher Aide at Reignier Catholic School since 2002. I love the kind, caring atmosphere and feel privileged to work with such multi-talented people. I have a passion for helping children who struggle with learning in some way and I love to find programs that will help them. I have helped a lot of children with speech and language and also love teaching children and adults about technology.
I was born on a dairy farm in Palmerston North, and completed my registered nursing training there. I moved to sunny Hawkes Bay when I married Chris in 1983. I have 4 adult children, 1 of whom has just come back home for a while.
When I’m not playing with my new grandson, I’m working at Omni Gymnastics, looking after my family or reading a book.
I have been a Teacher Aide since 2005 working at Reignier Catholic School and in early childhood at Taradale Kindergarten. I work with all children across the school but have a special interest in children where english is their second language.
My husband and I have twin daughters who also attended Reignier Catholic School and who are now young adults starting out on their own chosen careers. We have a small dog who can be a little bit naughty but is very much a part of our family.
I am a bit of a book worm, a reliable dog walker, spend time working in my garden and love going away on holiday.
Reignier Catholic School is a fabulous place to work and I love working with our incredible children and being part of the school community.
My family and I moved back to New Zealand from Melbourne in 2016. I joined the Support Staff team at Reignier in Term 1 2018.
I am very fortunate that I am able to work with many children across many classrooms. I live with my husband, our two children, our very old dog and our very young cat! I love spending time with my family and friends and going for long walks. I love my job at Reignier and feel very blessed to be part of the Reignier community.
I am the Little Learners teacher and the school librarian. As a secondary school teacher of English and Drama in a previous life, this is quite a change for me, and one that I am happy to have made. I love working with the younger children, and being surrounded by books! I am also very lucky to work at the same school that my three children have attended.
